                Federal government grants are available from almost every department in the federal government. Ranging from the Department of Human Services to the Environmental Protection Agency, federal government grants opportunities are available to social service agencies and corporate entities.  Federal government grant solicitations that are geared toward social services agencies are funds that the federal government has allocated to address the needs of a defined population. The majority of federal government grant solicitations that are available to businesses entities, small business and large corporations alike, include: federally supported research opportunities, assistance in utilizing renewable energy sources in their operations; and assistance in growing their workforce. Examples of each of these federal government grant opportunities are provided in detail below.</p>
                <p>Federal government grants for social service agencies include grants for those organizations serving victims of violent crime, assisting the mentally challenged, assisting the elderly, assisting children, providing housing for low income individuals, providing medical care to low income individuals with restricted access to care, serving families and children in meeting their basic needs, and providing services to at-risk youth. The Office for Victims of Crime allocates millions of federal grant dollars annually to programs serving victims.                 <p>The US Department of Transportation Federal Transportation Administration provides federal government assistance for Transportation for Elderly Persons and Persons with Disabilities.
