	<h2>Internet Business Plan</h2>
	<p>There is a significant difference in the traditional business plan and a business plan for an online e-commerce enterprise.  With an online business, there is a large proportion of funding needed upfront for the set up of your business website and other ancillary charges associated with the set up.  Online businesses include the following:  Retailing, outsourcing of services, the reselling of items or products (either your own or those of any company), and affiliate marketing.  </p>
	<p>You may need to seek a business grant or, at the very least, a low interest loan in order to get your business off the ground.  In this instance, it will be necessary for you to prepare a business plan that is designed specifically for online business enterprises.</p>
	<p>The following is a template for you to follow in the preparation of a business template for an online business.  </p>
	<h3>Cover Page</h3>
	<p>According to the U.S. Small Business Administration, the Internet Business Plan Cover Page should contain these items:</p>
    <ul>
		<li>The Domain Name for Your Website</li>
		<li>Your Full Name</li>
		<li>Your Mailing Address, including City, State, and Zip Code </li>
		<li>Your Home Phone Number</li>
		<li>Your Cell Phone Number</li>
		<li>Your Business Phone Number(s)</li>
		<li>Official Name of Your Business</li>
		<li>Email of Your Business</li>
    </ul>
	<h3>Executive Summary</h3>
	<p>Your Executive Summary is a capsule summary of your entire business plan.  It is not intended to be simply a glimpse of what to expect in the remainder of the plan, nor should it be intended to provide simple cursory bits of information regarding your business and your plans.  When a reader has finished your Executive Summary, he or she should be armed with all the information describing your program, your mission, goals and objectives, as well as your funding requests and why these funds are necessary for your business.</p>
	<p>Here is a listing of critical information that needs to be included in your opening paragraph:</p>

		<li>Your name</li>
		<li>Business Name</li>
		<li>Street Address</li>
		<li>City, State and Zip Code</li>
		<li>Home Phone</li>
		<li>Cell Phone (if applicable)</li>
		<li>Business Phone (if applicable)</li>
		<li>Fax Number</li>
		<li>Email</li>
		<li>Website (if available)</li>
    </ul>
	<p>The following information should also be contained in the first few paragraphs of your Internet Business Plan:</p>
        <ul type="disc">
		<li>Identification of your business (start-up or already in business)</li>
		<li>If you are a start-up, state your expected opening date of operation</li>
		<li>If you are already in business, state the date of operational opening</li>
		<li>If you are already in business, state the date that the information in your business plan will take effect</li>
		<li>Identify Your Sales Niche (services, products or both)</li>
		<li>State your business formation (retailer or non-profit organization)</li>
		<li>State the amount of funding that you are looking for</li>
		<li>State the reason that you are asking for the funding</li>
    </ul>
	<p>The following is an example of a strong opening to your Executive Summary:</p>
    <ul>
        <p><em>My name is John Doe, and I am the Founder, Owner and Operator of the website <a href="http://www.elegantsweatshirts.com" target="_blank">www.elegantsweatshirts.com</a>.  I have developed a business model for the selling of Elegant Sweatshirts through the website at my residence, located at 000 Chauncey Street, Brooklyn, NY 11233, telephone (718) 000-0000, and I am requesting $20,000 in funding for the initial production of sweatshirts, advertising and promotional costs.  A small business loan of $10,000 will cover start-up costs.</em></p>
        <p><em>The online retail business, ElegantSweatshirts.com, is a single-member limited liability company and I am the Founder and Sole Proprietor of the Company.  The Founder has a prior background in clothing sales, advancing in his company over time in scope of responsibilities.</em></p>
    <p><em>The Founder recognizes the importance of manufacturing a high-end sweatshirt that can be worn interchangeably for various occasions.  There is an existing niche for sweatshirts of a higher quality among artist, painters, dancers and other creative communities.  The objective of the Company is to establish itself as the premier website destination for the purchase of high-end sweatshirts by offering premium fashionable and durable sweatshirts bearing the name of "Elegant in Style."</em></p>
