Assistance � Medical Bills</b></p>
<p>Our health care system is fractured,
and more people are going broke dealing with medical bills than ever
before. Even families with solid health insurance programs are
finding it difficult to manage the premiums and their portion of the
medical bills for their families. If you or a member of your family
has a chronic disease, you are probably in jeopardy of losing a great
portion of whatever wealth you possess.</p>
<p>There are government programs,
such as Medicaid, that provide medical payment assistance for individuals
and families in need. There is Medicare which assists our senior
citizens with their astronomical medical payments. Private foundations
are also available that will help with medical payments in special cases.</p>
<p>There is a great debate nationwide
regarding the revamping of our health care system. Nevertheless,
medical bills need to be paid, and some people simply do not have the
wherewithal to meet these obligations.</p>

Recovery and Reinvestment Act � </b>
This Act has changed the playing field for individuals and families

from this plan that are available in the state of your choice.</li>
<li><b>Federal Monies
� </b>Search for all Federal programs for medical assistance at <a href="http://www.cfda.gov" target="_blank"><u>www.cfda.gov</u></a>. </li>
<li><b>State Monies
� </b>There are programs available for assisting you with medical
payment costs. Follow the protocol for the 2009 American Recovery
and Reinvestment Act, as it applies to your state. For example,

� </b>These may be somewhat harder to come by, but there are programs

Private Donors � </b>There are plenty of private sources that may

- </b>The Federal Government has close to 1,000 non-profit agencies
and organizations available to assist individuals and families with
medical payments in several areas. The best way to find out what
